Dollar Value Assessments
A client cannot typically base a sound business decision on a generalized statement such as, “Your chances are good,” or “We have a strong case.”
A client is entitled to a meaningful case assessment. We provide a dollar value assessment for cases based on assessing liability, damages, collectibility and expected fees and costs. Here are the variables we examine:
- Liability assessment. We provide you with an assessment based on reasonably likely outcomes, with best-case and worst-case scenarios, and including a high/low range for clients who prefer this approach. This assessment is revisited regularly as discovery reveals information that affects the initial assessment.
- Damages. Using our simplified decision tree analysis of reasonably likely damages, you can better assess the areas of greatest exposure.
- Collectibility. We evaluate this for businesses and individuals pursuing recovery as plaintiffs in lawsuits and for businesses sued in the name of a subsidiary or affiliated company of limited assets.
